The spirit of family
In 1899, the first William de Rham founds the company that would later be led by five generations of de Rhams in turn.
Pierre de Rham takes over the reins in 1916 and successfully steers the business through the crisis of the 1920s and then the economic difficulties of the Second World War. The second William de Rham, Pierre de Rham’s eldest son, grow the business between 1960 and 1990, when he hands over to his son Yvan de Rham, who chairs the company’s board until 2020. In 2019, his three children, Alexane de Rham-D'Ignoti, Quentin de Rham and Théophile de Rham become shareholders in the family holding company. Following the death of Yvan de Rham in March 2021, this fifth generation is already actively involved in DR Invest SA and DR F&B SA. Quentin de Rham joins the board of de Rham SA in 2019 and takes over as head of the holding company in 2020. He is swiftly joined by his sister Alexane and brother Théophile, who are both appointed as new directors in 2021.
The strong family ties that characterise deRham ensure both its sustainability and its independence for over 120 years. The spirit of family that inspires the dynasty means that the brand has always remained faithful to both its original values and to a fundamentally people-focused view of its activities and the relationships of trust it maintains with its employees and clients.
