Der Bau des noch heute als Chesa Albertini bekannten Hauses wurde nach den vorhandenen Spuren um 1600 begonnen. Es erhielt bei einem Umbau 1665 seine herrschaftliche Dimension. Im XIX. Jahrhundert wurde wiederum die äussere Gestalt verändert. In einer weiteren Bauetappe der letzten Jahre, welche alle historischen Räume bewahrte, wurden auf allen Etagen neue Wohn-, Schlaf- und Badezimmer eingerichtet, die einen zeitgemässen bzw. luxuriösen Komfort gewährleisten.

Das ganze Haus ist mit Familienbildern und wertvollen Kunstwerken und Antiquitäten geschmackvoll dekoriert. Die Bewohner haben die Wahl, sich in einer traditionellen Engadinerstube, einem barocken Prunkraum oder in einem komfortablen Aufenthaltsraum niederzulassen. Insgesamt zeigt die Chesa Albertini den zu patrizischer Würde entwickelten Bautypus des Engadiner Bauernhauses. Die einander in jedem Jahrhundert folgenden Umbauten haben im Inneren Schritt für Schritt das Repräsentative verstärkt, ohne die Spuren des Ursprünglichen ganz zu verwischen. Die Chesa Albertini gehört somit zu den wenigen und am besten erhaltenen Patrizierhäusern im Engadin.

Es dürfte 100 Jahre her sein, seit letztmals ein Patrizierhaus von dieser kulturhistorischen Bedeutung und
Pracht im Engadin zum Verkauf stand.

According to traceable evidence, construction of the house, which is still known as Chesa Albertini to this day, began around 1600. During a reconstruction project in 1665 the building received its stately appearance. In the XIXth century the outer form was redesigned once more. In another construction phase over the past years, while taking great care to preserve all of the historic rooms, all floors received new living rooms, bedrooms and baths to include contemporary, luxurious comfort.

The entire house is decorated tastefully with family paintings, precious works of art and antiques. The inhabitants have a choice of settling down in a traditional Engadin living room, a magnificent baroque splendor room, or a comfortable sitting room. In its entirety, Chesa Albertini displays the typical style of an Engadin farm house, yet it is resplendent in Patrician grandeur. The consecutive remodeling efforts of each century have left their representative marks in the interior of the estate, one by one, without compromising its original charm. Thus, Chesa Albertini is considered to be one of the few and best maintained Patrician houses in the Engadin region.

It might have been 100 years since a Patrician estate of such cultural and historical significance, quality and beauty has been up for sale.
